Watch Log Reviews: Agent Carter Episodes 1 and 2

As I was going through reviews for another show, I saw someone do a reflections post for ever episode they watched, and thought it was a creative idea to get thoughts down. So, I decided to give it a try.

Recently, I started watching Marvel’s Agent Carter. Let me preface this by saying, I am a huge Captain America fan. After watching Captain America: Civil War, I was dying to delve into more Cap related material.

Since I watched the first two episodes of Agent Carter before deciding to do a watch log, the first two episodes are lumped together here.

Spoilers below.

Episode 1

The first episode of Agent Carter was decent for a pilot. The episode highlights how resourceful Peggy is, and shows how frustrated she at her workplace, where is significantly underrated. I’m hoping to see Daniel Sousa become a close and trusted friend of Peggy’s. He has such potential, and I’m curious about the backstory behind his injury.

Howard Stark only makes a brief appearance, which is a bit disappointing, but luckily his appearance kicks off the plot. Jarvis is hilarious with his inability understand why the missions should interfere with his homelife.

I’m assuming we will see more of Angie in the future. Her playful personality reminds me of Bucky’s.

Episode 2

To be honest, I was more caught up with the characters than the actual plot line…I can’t really remember what happened except that Peggy found the drivers and trucks containing the bombs.

My favorite scene in this episode was when Peggy took down the worker who tried to run in a nonchalant, all-business way. Such resourcefulness!

Notable scenes were Peggy as the truck inspector, and Jarvis panicking in the back of the truck when the plan was falling to pieces.

I am having a hard time keeping track of the plot. I can’t tell if it’s uninteresting or if I’m just more invested in the characters.
